Washington, DC – Nearly every Republican in Congress voted last night to keep Trump’s tariffs in place, once again endorsing the very policies that are driving up costs for working families nationwide. Congressional Republicans’ vote comes just days after a new report showed that Americans paid $1,000 more on average in 2025 due to Trump’s tariffs, bearing 95% of the costs, and are on track to lose even more throughout 2026. It proves what we already know – Americans are paying the price because Republicans in Congress have repeatedly voted to let these tariffs continue – all so they can give billionaires even more tax breaks.
“Congressional Republicans keep supporting policies that make life more expensive for Americans.
