Arizonans will hear about Ciscomani’s failure to stand up for working families in English and Spanish
Washington, D.C — Today, Unrig Our Economy launched two new ads calling out Congressman Juan Ciscomani (AZ-06) for voting to cut Arizonans’ health care and make life more unaffordable for working families all to give tax breaks to millionaires and billionaires.
The English-language TV ad features Tucson resident Andre who relies on Medicare to take care of her 97-year-old abuela. She calls out Congressman Ciscomani for voting to cut Medicare to pay for tax breaks for billionaires.
In the Spanish-language radio ad, Andre condemns Congressman Ciscomani for voting for the largest-ever cuts to Medicaid and SNAP amidst a cost-of-living crisis, all to pay for tax breaks for billionaires.
In both ads, Andre stresses that in Arizona people take care of their “compañeros.” But Congressman Ciscomani is not looking out for the people he represents.
“Congressman Juan Ciscomani voted to hurt Arizonans like Andre and her 97-year-old abuela just so he could give tax breaks to billionaires,” said Unrig Our Economy Campaign Director Leor Tal. “Food, energy, and health care costs all cost more than ever, but Congressman Ciscomani is working in lockstep with Republicans in Washington DC to raise costs for the seniors and working families of his district.”

We have a big family.
I have two brothers.
My grandma lives with us.
We all look after each other, especially our 97-year old abuela.
She relies on us to take care of her every day.
And without the help of Medicare, I’m not sure how we would pay the Medical bills.
But Congressman Juan Ciscomani voted to cut Medicare, to pay for tax breaks for billionaires.
Putting our parents and grandparents like mine at risk.
Congressman Juan Ciscomani, please stop cutting our health care.
You can listen to the Spanish-language radio ad here.
Me llamo Andreína.
He vivido en Tucson casi toda mi vida,
Me importa profundamente mi comunidad,
Y estamos sufriendo –

My name is Andre.
I’ve lived in Tucson nearly all my life.
I care deeply about my community.
And we are hurting – With the rising costs of groceries, child care, housing, and health care…
Our most vulnerable communities are being left behind –
Those who rely on Medicaid, Medicare, and SNAP benefits…
And our Congressman, Juan Ciscomani, is not standing up for them.
He’s falling in line with Trump’s extreme agenda.
And voted to make the largest cut to Medicaid and SNAP in history.
While giving massive tax breaks to billionaires and big corporations.
In Arizona, we look out for our community.
These are our brothers, sisters, coworkers, friends, grandmothers…
Call Congressman Juan Ciscomani at (520) 881-3588
And tell him it’s not okay to take away people’s health care and SNAP benefits to fund tax breaks for billionaires.
