The Ad Comes As New Jerseyans See Skyrocketing Healthcare Costs Thanks to Republicans’ Failure To Extend Health Care Tax Credits
Washington D.C — Today, Unrig Our Economy released a new ad calling out Congressman Tom Kean Jr. (NJ-07) for his vote to trade away millions of Americans’ health care for tax breaks for the ultra-wealthy. This ad features Theresa, a mother of two disabled children, whose family relies on Medicaid. In the ad, Theresa outlines the importance of Medicaid, and calls out Congressman Kean Jr. for putting Medicaid at risk to give billionaires more tax breaks.
The ad comes during Open Enrollment as hundreds of thousands of New Jerseyans who rely on ACA marketplace health insurance are seeing sky-high cost increases in 2026. Congressman Kean Jr. has done nothing to address health care tax credits that help over 466,000 New Jerseyans afford their coverage. We need Republicans in Congress like Tom Kean Jr. to stop voting to cut Americans’ health care and vote to extend ACA tax credits.
