Washington D.C — When President Trump visits Iowa today, he will be greeted by a mobile billboard from Unrig Our Economy, which will be circling his event and calling him out – along with Republican Representatives Mariannette Miller-Meeks (IA-01), Ashley Hinson (IA-02), and Zach Nunn (IA-03) – for raising the costs of health care, heating, and groceries while giving even more massive tax breaks to the wealthy.
“Today’s event featuring President Trump and Representatives Miller-Meeks, Nunn, and Hinson is a charade to distract from the higher costs they have inflicted on Iowans,” said Unrig Our Economy Campaign Director Leor Tal. “From voting to cut Medicaid and SNAP to ending vital health care tax credits to implementing cost-raising tariffs, President Trump and Republicans in Congress have spent the past year raising costs on working families, while giving tax breaks to millionaires and billionaires. We’re circling this event with this mobile billboard to show President Trump and Republicans in Congress like Miller-Meeks, Nunn, and Hinson that they can neither run nor hide from their record of consistently putting the wants of the ultra-rich over the need of working families.”

About Unrig Our Economy
Unrig Our Economy is a national campaign to fix the rules of our economy to make it work for working people. We know that when the middle class does well, all of us do well — which is why we’re fighting on behalf of working Americans and holding corporations, their wealthy executives, and the politicians who enable them accountable.
