Washington D.C — Just days after her support for the callous Republican Tax Scam, Unrig Our Economy is launching a new ad holding Senator Joni Ernst (R-IA) accountable for voting to leave over 100,000 Iowans without health care to hand out tax breaks to billionaires. The ad features three of Senator Ernst’s constituents who could see the impact of the bill’s disastrous Medicaid cuts firsthand, calling her out for supporting this attack on working-class Iowans.
“Senator Ernst’s Tax Scam puts billionaires over the health and well-being of the Iowans she swore to represent,” said Unrig Our Economy Campaign Director Leor Tal. “Senator Ernst betrayed working-class Iowans, and this ad featuring Billy, Maria, and Jennifer should remind her that she should be serving Iowan families, not the richest of the rich across the country.”
