Washington D.C — Today, Unrig Our Economy is launching a new ad urging Congressman Thom Tillis (R-NC) to reject the Republican Tax Scam that guts Medicaid – and would leave 16 million Americans and up to 650,000 North Carolina residents uninsured – to make the ultra-wealthy even wealthier. The ad features Senator Tillis’ constituent, Ashley, and showcases just how vital Medicaid is to her family and many others across North Carolina.
“Ashley and Milo need Senator Tillis to prioritize their health care needs over the wants of the wealthy,” said Unrig Our Economy Campaign Director Leor Tal. “North Carolina families rely on Medicaid to help them keep their newborns safe, battle cancer and chronic illnesses, and cover other life-saving care. Senator Tillis needs to reject the Republican Tax Scam and protect North Carolinians like Ashley and Milo.”
