New TX-15 Digital Ads Highlight Congresswoman Monica De La Cruz’s Votes to Raise Costs, Cut Health Care, and Give Tax Breaks to Billionaires
WASHINGTON, D.C. — Unrig Our Economy launched two new digital ads in Texas’ 15th Congressional District holding Congresswoman Monica De La Cruz accountable for voting for policies that raise costs for working families while giving tax breaks to billionaires.
The ads, one in English and one in Spanish, remind South Texans that they trusted De La Cruz to fight for them, but she instead sided with billionaires and big corporations at their expense.
Families are already struggling with higher prices, and the congressional Republican policies that Congresswoman De La Cruz supported are making things worse. The average household is paying an estimated $3,500 more for health care, food, energy, clothing, and other basic needs under President Trump and Republicans in Congress. De La Cruz voted for Republican-backed cuts to health care and food assistance and massive tax breaks for billionaires and large corporations, leaving working families to pick up the tab.
“South Texans sent Monica De La Cruz to Congress to fight for them. But instead she made life more expensive while giving billionaires yet another tax break,” said Unrig Our Economy Campaign Director Leor Tal.
