NEW: Congressman Bacon Throws Another Temper Tantrum at His Own Constituents Who Are Angry About His Medicaid Cuts

He’s Sizzling Over Unrig Our Economy’s Accountability Ads

Washington D.C — Congressman Don Bacon is very angry that his constituents are speaking out against his vote for the largest Medicaid cut in history, in order to fund more tax breaks for the wealthy.

In May, he had national Republicans send threatening letters to local TV stations after Omaha retiree Audrey called him out for attacking her family’s health care.

Earlier this month, he pouted on Twitter because Punchbowl News covered Omaha business owner Sonita’s ads holding him accountable for cutting the health care that people in her community rely on.

On Friday, the Congressman lashed out again, posting a screenshot of Sonita and denying what a non-partisan analysis has already confirmed: The Congressman voted to rip health coverage from nearly 40,000 Nebraskans who rely on Medicaid and the Affordable Care Act.

“No matter how many temper tantrums Congressman Bacon throws, his constituents are going to keep holding him accountable for his vote to take away Nebraskans’ health care,” said Unrig Our Economy Campaign Director Leor Tal. “Sonita, Audrey, and people across Nebraska won’t sit back and let their Congressman slash Medicaid — all so that he can continue lining the pockets of the ultra-wealthy.”
