Washington D.C — Senate Republicans just passed their version of the Republican Tax Scam – the biggest transfer of wealth from the working-class to the ultra-wealthy in modern history that could leave millions of Americans without health care. And Republican Senators are even acknowledging how disastrous this bill would be for their constituents.
But according to Vice President JD Vance, that doesn’t matter because those constituents are simply “the minutiae of the Medicaid policy” and ultimately “immaterial.”
“With this latest, callous statement by Vice President Vance, Republicans are saying the quiet part out loud – they know that the Republican Tax Scam will leave millions without health care in order to give billionaires another tax break…they just don’t care,” said Unrig Our Economy Campaign Director Leor Tal. “Now that the bill heads back to the House, we will do everything to encourage House Republicans to oppose this tax scam because Congress should fight for us – not the super-rich.”
