Thanks to Republicans In Congress, Private Jet Owners Finally Get a Tax Break…While 17 Million Lose Health Care

Washington D.C — Now that Republicans in Congress have passed their historically unpopular tax law, which could leave 17 million Americans without lifesaving health care, we are learning more about who the winners are (Hint: it’s not the working class).

Tucked away in this law is a provision that gives the ultra-wealthy a tax break for purchasing private jets. It’s just one egregious example that highlights the whole essence of the Republican Tax Law – to steal from working-class Americans and give handouts to the richest of the rich.

“If someone pitched a movie about Congressional Republicans leaving 17 million Americans without health care to make it easier for billionaires to buy private jets, you’d think it was satire,” said Kobie Christian, Unrig Our Economy Spokesperson. “But that’s exactly what they have done by passing their tax law. It’s billionaires first, working families last.”
