Unrig Our Economy Launches New Ads in 8-figure Campaign As Republicans Push Ahead With Billionaire Tax Breaks
Today, Unrig Our Economy is launching two new ads as part of its eight-figure campaign to combat congressional Republicans’ ongoing effort to give more tax breaks to millionaires and billionaires and force everyday Americans to foot the bill. These latest TV ads, which are running in Iowa and Arizona, call out Congresswoman Mariannette Miller-Meeks (IA-01) and Congressman Juan Ciscomani (AZ-06) for their support of another massive giveaway to the ultra-wealthy. These new ads come after House Republicans, including Congresswoman Miller-Meeks and Congressman Ciscomani, voted to advance their budget resolution that sets up Congress to gut vital programs like Medicaid and SNAP to pay for tax breaks for billionaires and big corporations.
“This week, Congresswoman Miller-Meeks and Congressman Ciscomani cast deciding votes for a plan to rip away vital health care and food assistance from their constituents to benefit billionaires and giant corporations,” said Unrig Our Economy Spokesperson Kobie Christian. “This vote is a betrayal of the hardworking people who put them in office. These new ads tell Iowans and Arizonans the truth – that their representatives support a plan to raise costs on Americans, cut Medicaid and SNAP, and add trillions to the federal deficit to pad the pockets of the ultra-wealthy.”
The budget resolution passed by House Republicans this week makes one thing clear – Republicans in Congress will stop at nothing to help millionaires and billionaires get ahead, even if it hurts working- and middle-class Americans. These new ads call on Congresswoman Miller-Meeks and Congressman Ciscomani to reverse course and actually stand up for their constituents rather than the ultra-rich.
These new ads will run on TV, digital, and streaming platforms in Iowa and Arizona.

Why is it that billionaires keep getting big breaks
While regular, hardworking people in Iowa struggle to pay their bills?
You’d have to ask Congresswoman Mariannette Miller-Meeks.
She’s pushing for a tax break that benefits…
You guessed it – the same billionaires.
So while we struggle with rising costs,
the ultra-wealthy are about to catch yet another break.
And we’ll pay the price.
We just have to ask –
Why is Mariannette Miller-Meeks looking out for them, but not us?

SCRIPT:
Arizona is a state made up of billionaires.
Oh wait,
that’s just what Congressman Juan Ciscomani must think.
Since he and his friends in Congress are pushing to cut taxes for the ultra-wealthy,
meanwhile working Arizonans are stuck paying more and more…
And what will their new plan cost us?
Massive cuts to the programs we rely on.
That’s just not something we can afford…
Arizona is a state made up of regular, hard-working people, not billionaires.
We just need to remind Juan Ciscomani of that.
