Unrig Our Economy Launches “Pre-Tariff Gift Guide” of Goods That Would See Higher Prices Under Trumps Tariffs

Washington, D.C. — With the holidays approaching, Unrig Our Economy is releasing a “pre-tariff gift guide” of popular gifts and items that would see price increases under President-elect Trump’s proposed tariffs. Shoppers searching for products, such as video games, shoes, kitchen appliances, and portable electronics, will be served digital ads (pictured below) highlighting the price increases from higher tariffs and leading them to the “pre-tariff gift guide.”

President-elect Trump recently announced his intention to impose heavy tariffs on goods imported from Canada, China, and Mexico, including essentials like food, gas, household appliances, gifts, construction materials, cars, and much more. The costs of higher tariffs have historically been passed down to consumers. If there were any doubts it would happen again, corporate executives are chiming in to make it clear: They intend to raise prices on Americans as a response to these tariffs. On top of that, last week, President-elect Trump backed away from his campaign promise to lower grocery prices.

“Unrig Our Economy’s ’pre-tariff gift guide’ lays bare the truth about Trump’s tariffs: They will make next year’s holiday season a whole lot more expensive,” said Unrig Our Economy spokesperson Kobie Christian. “Rather than working to lower costs, President-elect Trump and Republicans in Congress are gearing up to raise costs on everyday people and give more tax breaks to billionaires and corporations.”
